Workforce Skills Development and Recognition Fund (WSDRF)

Quebec’s training law requires employers to invest in their Quebec employees by means of developing their workforce skills.

Participants of this webinar will learn the essentials on how Quebec employers subject to the 1% training law must first and foremost provide eligible training activities to their employees under the Act. Certain expenses may be claimed based on the type of the eligible activity chosen by the employer.

  • the history on training in Quebec (how and why Bill 90 became law)
  • the employer’s obligation to promote workforce skills development
  • review which types of activities and expenses are eligible under the Act
  • when and how to make the remittance under the WSDRF contribution

  • the most common errors
 

This webinar will be facilitated by Payroll Compliance Advisors from the Compliance Services and Programs department at the Canadian Payroll Association (CPA). This informative webinar will include a 60 minute presentation and a 30 minute session to answer questions.
