Most payroll practitioners have at one time or another had to deal with a payroll error or have been tasked with recovering a repayment of salary or wages. This informative webinar will assist you and your organization in implementing payroll best practices regarding the administrative requirements under the most common situations employers encounter:

  • Administrative errors
  • Overpayment or underpayment
  • Repayment of salary or wages

Our panel of payroll experts will provide definitions to help you distinguish between a payroll error and a repayment of salary or wage. We will discuss your rights as an employer to recover overpayments and restrictions under employment standards you should be aware of. We will also review the process of calculating a payroll adjustment related to an administrative error and the reporting requirements of both CRA and Revenu Quebec.

This webinar will be facilitated by Payroll Compliance Advisors from the Compliance Services and Programs department at the Canadian Payroll Association (CPA). This informative webinar will include a 60 minute presentation and a 30 minute session to answer live and pre-submitted questions.
