Highlights
- 1997-1998 Chairman
- Member of the CPA since 1987, joining out of a desire to raise the image of the payroll profession.
- First involvement with the CPA was volunteering at the regional level. Renée was part of an adhoc group who developed, over many weekends, the precursor to the CPA Professional Development Seminar, Learning Payroll I.
- Earned her Payroll Manager (PM) certification in 1994.
- Joined the Board of Directors in 1992 and served as Board liaison to the Education Committee until 1995, when she was first elected Vice-Chairman and served for two years.
- Committee leadership saw the introduction of computer-based training to the certification program, as well as the complete re-writing of Levels I and II of the program to bring it up-to-date with current payroll legislation and practices.
- From the April/May 1998 DIALOGUE, "I have also had the opportunity this year of working closely with the CPA's staff. I have seen the same drive and dedication in them that exists in our volunteers. They are an integral part of the Association and provide valuable support to all volunteers. With all of us working as a team, we can only get stronger."
- Currently is the Payroll Manager for HSE Integrated Ltd.
