Highlights
- 1999-2000 Chairman
- Member of the CPA since 1983 and joined the Board of Directors in 1997.
- In addition to her term on the Board of Directors and Chairman as a volunteer, Jean was also one of the first CPA staff members. She was hired in the fall of 1991 to manage the day-to-day operations of the Association. She held this position until 1993 and then managed the certification program between 1993 and 1995.
- One of her first tasks as a staff member was setting up and managing what today is considered one of the Association's most popular and valuable membership benefits: Payroll InfoLine, which officially launched on November 15, 1991.
- In 1992, she oversaw the planning and set-up of the association's first national office in Toronto.
- After leaving the CPA as a staff member, Jean returned as a volunteer, serving on the Federal Government Relations Standing Committee, chairing the Readability Subcommittee and working with the Education Standing Committee to review certification course content.
- Upon becoming Chairman, Jean reflected, "I knew right away this was an association I wanted to be part of and where I could make a difference. Setting goals has always been important to me and my CPA service has really enhanced my success in this area."
- Jean is currently the Payroll Manager for Air Canada Jazz.
