Member of the CPA since 1980. Currently he is the President of LeadingEdge Payroll Group Inc.
Ian has been the Chief Elected Officer and the Chief Staff Officer of the CPA, and a long-time supporter of the payroll profession as a volunteer, subject matter expert, content developer, government relations advocate and speaker.
With over 25 years of experience in the payroll, benefit, information technology, taxation and pension fields, he is recognized as a expert on payroll and HR matters.
A long-time member of both the APA and the CPA, Ian has been honoured by both organizations for his long-standing commitment to the profession by receiving the APA's meritorious service award in 1993 and the CPA's Diana Ferguson Award in 2006.
On government advocacy from the January/February 2008 issue of DIALOGUE magazine: "Today, through the excellent work that continues to be done, it certainly appears that government agencies see the CPA as a valuable ally and respect the viewpoints and recommendations being put forth."
