|
Highlights
- CPA involvement began in 1978 when he was approached by Diana Ferguson to participate in the CPA.

- He was elected as a Director and Vice-President, Finance and Administration in 1980 and served as a Director with the CPA for over 10 consecutive years.
- A career banker who was instrumental in maintaining the continued support of the CPA by the Royal Bank.
- Received an Honorary Member Award in 1987 for his strong guidance and leadership, and sense of humour, in the administration of the Association.
- From March/April 1989 Dialogue: "Dave will be remembered for his 'harping' on the need for budgets and regular monthly financial reports," says Past-Chairman Ruby Bjarnason. "It was not in vain. His persistent concern has resulted in the development of better financial controls and an increased awareness of the part they play in current management and long-term planning."
- "I've enjoyed watching someone come into the CPA with very little corporate or organizational exposure and then see that person move into a CPA executive position. They'll then take that knowledge into the business world and become successful. It's a great feeling seeing a person grow," says Dave.
