Ann Turner-Murphy on the cover of DIALOGUE, August/September 1995 |
Highlights
- 1995-1997 Chairman
- Joined CPA staff as Manager of Education in July 1997 and was one of the first retired staff in 2005 (along with Gilles Coulombe).
- She first became involved with the CPA in 1986 when she attended her first CPA National Conference in Toronto. She chaired the 1989 National Conference, which began her volunteer work for the CPA and eventual nomination and election to the Board of Directors, including representing the members as their Chairman from 1995-1997 (the last Chairman to serve a two-year term). Ann has four passions - family, church, the cottage, and the CPA. Ann has contributed to the recognition payroll certification enjoys in the employer community. In recruitment advertisements for payroll positions, under educational requirements, it has become common to see a CPA certification as a prerequisite. This is definitely something she can be proud of.
- "It has been an exciting challenge to lead this dynamic challenge and I thank the many volunteers who helped make it a rewarding experience," said Ann in her final Chairman's Message in the April/May 1997 issue of DIALOGUE.
