Topic Description
To provide great service to your internal clients and external
stakeholders, payroll professionals need to have finely tuned
communication skills. This means you need to know what and how to
communicate to meet the other person’s needs.
Great communication skills are the key to increasing the profile of
payroll and building solid business relationships both in your
organization and with external parties. Being an effective communicator
will demonstrate the valuable contributions you can bring increase and
increase your reputation as a knowledgeable professional.
During this workshop, you will learn:
- The 3 key ways we send messages to each other
- What employees and managers need to know from payroll
- How payroll can sell and market its value through
communications
- Techniques you can use to enhance your listening skills
- Tips on email and telephone etiquette to enhance
payroll’s brand
This informative 90-minute session will include a 60-minute
presentation, responses to pre-submitted questions and an open forum to
ask your questions to our facilitator.

About the Speaker
Fiorella Callocchia is President of HR Impact,
a management consulting firm specializing in creating customized,
practical and innovative workplace solutions.
Fiorella has over 30 years experience in public/conference
speaking, training design and delivery. She is a Certified Human
Resources Professional (CHRP) with the Human Resources Association
(HRPA), and was awarded the prestigious Ross Hennigar Award from HRPA
for outstanding contribution to the profession. She is the author of
Canada’s first HR Audit Tool available through Carswell Reuters.
Fiorella is a regular guest “HR Expert” on the Business
News Network and has also appeared on CTV, Investment Television and
Toronto Board of Trade Television. She has been featured in
Canadian Business Magazine and has written articles for a
number of publications including Canadian HR Reporter,
Workplace News and the Toronto Business Times.
Fiorella is a regular speaker at the CPA’s National Conference
with a presentation style is dynamic, motivating and fun!
