Travel Information
HOTEL ACCOMMODATION APRIL 26 UPDATE:
Due to overwhelming response to the 2013 Conference,
some nights at the Westin Bayshore Hotel are sold out during CPA
Conference week. As we have sold every room in the entire hotel on some
nights, no further rooms are available for booking at the Westin. We
have secured an alternate block of rooms at the Renaissance
Vancouver Harbourside Hotel. This hotel is located at 1133 West
Hastings Street, an easy 5-minute walk from the Westin Bayshore.
Rooms are available at the following rates:
$215 - City view (plus applicable taxes)
$230 - Harbourside (plus applicable taxes)
Note that due to very high demand for hotel rooms in the city of
Vancouver during CPA Conference week, all rooms at the Renaissance
under the CPA block must be booked for a minimum 3-night stay
and with a one night non-refundable deposit due at time of
booking. The cut-off date for booking rooms is May 15, 2013.
Note that this does not guarantee availability until May 15th so
delegates are encouraged to book as soon as possible to secure a room.
After May 15th, rooms (if available) will be offered at prevailing
rates. Delegates can book their room using one of the following
methods:

at 604 689 9211 and ask to speak with in
house reservations.
If you are not successful in booking a room at the Renaissance, we suggest you contact one of the following hotels which are a short and scenic walk from the Westin Bayshore. Please note that we do not have a block of rooms set aside at either property but the reviews and current rates are both favourable.
AIR TRAVEL DISCOUNT
Air Canada has been appointed as the official airline for the CPA’s 31st Annual Conference and Trade Show in Vancouver, BC. You can now book your conference travel online at www.aircanada.com. Airfares booked at the Flex level (formerly Tango Plus) and higher qualify for a 10% discount for travel within Canada, or between Canada and the U.S. To qualify for any potential discounts on air travel for the CPA Conference, you must enter promotion code C469ZWA1 when booking online or through your travel agent. Visit www.aircanada.com or consult with a travel service agent to book your ticket using this promotion code (certain restrictions apply).
WestJet is also offering special fares to delegates travelling to Vancouver for the CPA’s 2013 Conference. A 10% discount applies on the best available regular fares at time of booking. Note that tickets booked online at westjet.com and promotional (seat sale) fares do not qualify for additional discounts. To qualify for the best available fares, delegates must book their flights through the WestJet Convention Department by calling 1-877-952-4696. Please quote the CPA’s conference registration code CC6761 when booking your ticket.
AIRPORT TRANSFERS
Taxi and limousine service is available just outside the Arrivals level baggage claim at the Vancouver Airport. The average taxi fare to downtown Vancouver is $30.
