Keeping Canada
PaidTM—Today, Tomorrow and Every
Pay
- Canada’s 1.5 million employers count on payroll professionals
to annually pay:
- $730 billion in wages;
- $230 billion in statutory remittances;
- $80 billion in health and retirement benefits;
- while complying with more than 185 federal and provincial
legislative requirements.
- Payroll is mission-critical and its size and scope impact business,
government and employers across Canada, both from a monetary and
business perspective.
- Payroll professionals are the key communications point for employees
and management on salaries and benefits.
National Payroll Week (NPW) is the largest annual public relations
initiative of the Canadian Payroll Association (CPA). NPW recognizes the
accomplishments of payroll professionals, the payroll community and the
CPA, by building greater awareness of the size and scope of payroll and
its impact on business, government and employees across Canada.
Last year's NPW took place from September 14-18, 2009, and over
3,000 payroll professionals attended the 28 events held across Canada.
Plan to join your colleagues at an event near you in 2010!
